well heres the finished version of the gift for my band director. he seemed to like it, and whats more, at first he wasnt not aware that i'd actually DRAWN it! now that makes an artist feel good. anyway, onto what i changed. i darkened up the shading on everything, put the finishing touches on the hat and skin, and added the shirt and all. i realized though, much too late, that i put a highlight on the hat where there cannot be one (thats because i put a shadow there too, lol). im sorry the quality of this picture is so poor, but as i said earlier, my scanner was broken and i had no means of scanning it, so this is a digital picture. this is the first work i've taken a picture of, so cut me some slack, i wasnt sure what it would do. overall, i think it turned out really well. let me know what you think of it!
