Indian Girl

This is a colored pencil portrait of a young Indian girl requested by her father who adores her the source he gave me was a little wallet sized photo which I scanned and blew up. The drawing was done 11 x 14 and was scanned at a proffessional printing center down to 8x10 so I could scan it and keep a record of my work for my portfolio. Artwork by Mark Jorgenson

Lovely work.... the details are amazing. Was there a request to have her in front of the American stripes and stars? It's a beauty Mark, like all of your work. Great addition to your portfolio

Artist Reply: Thank you Olga! Her father requested the Flag.

Wow, you really can capture people's expressions and details well. Your works look as realistic as photographs almost. The cool thing is that even with a small photograph that enlarges poorly you can create a large painting or drawing that has sharp details.
