The Turning Of The Constitution

This is a 22"x30" watercolor and is one of two versions of this concept. The second version of this idea is a 14' x20" painting that is part of a suite of paintings that hangs in the foyuer of the Grand Ballroom of the Newton Massacheussetts Marriott. Once a ear on the 4th of July, the constitution is taken from her berth by Boston Harbor tugboats and is paraded around the Harbor. It is then returned and berthed pointing in the opposite direction. This is done to gaurantee that the ship weathers evenly sort of like turning a roast on a rottisserie. The larger version is in the collection of Dr. Perry Carlos of Jacksonville, Florida.
