Tanguy Holcombe (aka Firedog) 2006

This is a portrait if our second son, Tanguy Holcombe. Tanguy means "Firedog" in Breton, the language of Brittany (France). We have had a turbulent relationship which I hope will improve with time. He is the last of our four sons to have his portrait done. Some of the complexities of his personality are symbolized in the firedog. It was accepted in the 2006 Southeastern Juried Show at the Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile, Alabama.

Hello again David! This is a freat portrait of Tanguy. I like the way you've used the symbol of the firedog to illustrate Tanguy's fiery spirit. He's a very handsome boy with a mischievous twinkle in those blue eyes. I love thi that blue and green!! Brilliant stuff!
