Odin, Norse God

Odin, or Allfather is a god of war and death, but also the god of poetry and wisdom. The tidings are brought to him by his two raven Huginn and Muninn. He is accompanied by the wolves Freki and Geri, to whom he gives his food for he himself consumes nothing but wine. Odin has only one eye, his other eye he traded for a drink from the Well of Wisdom, and gained immense knowledge. His steed, Sleipnir has eight legs. (I couldn't figure out how to paint an eight-legged horse without making it look really goofy.)

HI Dan! What a wonderful portfolio you have! Your oil paintings are very detailed and impacting, I think all your pictures are very well rendered, I like them very much! Thank so so much, as well for commenting on my work... Have a great week!!

Artist Reply: Thanks. I want to paint Odin again only a closer view of his face this time. I had my brother pose for me like he was sitting on a throne. Should be interesting. Thanks again for the great comments.

Nice one Dan. Reminds me of a really rude joke I know about the Norse Gods, Odin and Thor. Couldn't possibly post it here, but I'll tell it to anyone who emails me. --- Top work my man.
