The Lost Ark of the Covenant

"And in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee, and there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee". Exodus 25:21-22. The Lost Ark of the Covenant...the two way radio to God. It is one of the most intriguing mysteries of all time. It contained the actual stone tablets that God wrote the Ten Commandments on and was considered to be the embodiment of God himself. It was a communication device that allowed a "super entity" in God to speak to the humans on earth. Anyone who possessed the Ark of the Covenant also possessed the power of God. Biblical accounts and Jewish legends describe the Ark as sometimes "blazing with fire and light, inflicting cancerous tumors and severe burns, leveling mountains, stopping rivers, blasting whole armies, and laying cities to waste". The Ark was built by Moses around 1250 BC and is mentioned in various books of the Bible. Then something happened to it between the 6th and 10th centuries BC and is no longer mentioned. It simply vanished without a trace and left no clues of its whereabouts. What happened to the Ark? Was it hidden in Mount Nebo in Jordan? Was it buried in a secret chamber under the Temple Mount? Does it currently reside in a chapel in Axum, Ethiopia? If the Ark was ever actually found, it would be the greatest archaeological discovery of all time...especially because if it magical powers. Many Christians believe that, if found, the Ark of the Covenant would evoke the Second Coming of Christ and the Ark would be used as a weapon against the Antichrist in the Battle of Armageddon...bringing forth God's "new world order" of righteousness.
