Wooden Church in Moravia (2005)

This is one of three small paintings done from photos I took while in the Czech Republic in 2004. They are intended for a silent auction for the Louisiana Czech Heritage Museum. The tar covered timber construction is typical of this part of Eastern Europe.

The colors in this are great!! Feel like you really went in with the paint and treated it like it was a living creature. Very alive and gestural!!! Great stuff David!!!
