I think fast sketch very often captures the pure essence of the subject. Too much fiddling... well with me anyway, often overdoes a piece.. You are the master of capturing the essence Steen.
Artist Reply: thankyou Amanda I agree with you, a live sketch is often better, but sometimes a redo is nessesay to take away unwanted objects or a change in perspective that maybe make the motif sing
