18 year old still life..Untitled

This oil on canvas was my first still life painted in College. These are insides of of a dismantled lock/ or what ever that is?? on two bricks. Done from life with a room full of fellow class mates.. in Sept of 1987. Found this old gem while re-organizing my basement..haven't seen this in years..size of work 18 inches in width by 14 inches in height.

It's fun to see how people grow and change. As an artist friend of mine said "sometimes the magic's there, sometimes not." The important thing appears to be continuing the creative process which takes on a life of its own if you're serious and persistent. Excuse the philosophy, please.
