A painter and sculptor, the fluid lines characteristic of her style are sometimes organized into abstract compositions, but more often she avoids the purely non- objective and is primarily concerned with conveying the emotional essence of a subject or landscape through form and color. She assisted her late husband Roy Sparkia in designing and creating the Empire State Building illuminated panels depicting the 7 wonders of the world, and the 8ththe Empire State Building. These 5 x 7 crystal resin and stained glass panels were installed in the lobby in 1963.
