This colored pencil painting is based on a photograph that I took of a still life scene that I created consisting of a rusty old pulley, some old rope, and an old glass commercial fishing net float. With the light source originating from below the scene, a dramatic still life emerged. It occurred to me that all these items were once new and bright, but time has changed them. They may no longer be new and bright but are still beautiful in a different light. This piece is entitled "The Wrappings of Age" and was done on Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychromos pencils. The size of the artwork is 18 x 12 inches.
