This is the third piece in a series of "rain" pieces that I am doing. I am amazed how these pieces appear so abstract in the early stages, but as more and more color is applied the images becomes more easily discernable. The image may be best viewed from a moderate distance. This also applies to viewing it on line. This is based on a photograph that I took viewing the Cedar River through the trees while visiting the Palisades-Kepler State park near Mount Vernon, Iowa. I entitled the piece "Sunshine Rain" because we have all experienced rain falling for a short time while the sun is shining. This piece was done on museum quality Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychrtomos and some Marshall pencils. The size of the artwork is 11 X 14 inches.

Very unususal and masterfully done!

BEAUTIFUL AND SO DETAILED WORK AS ALWAYS .. WELL DONE WILL ..

Artist Reply: Marie: thank you so much for your very nice comment. I like detail and realism, but I also like how a rain streaked window allows me to render more impressionistic images. I'm pleased that you too appreciate this look. I apologize for taking so long to reply to your comment. Best regards, Will

BEAUTIFUL WORK.

Artist Reply: Joanie: thanks so much for your comment. It's always good to hear from you. This is another of my rain pieces and it does allow me to retain detail, but through a more impressionistic look. I apologize for taking so long to reply to your comment. Have a good day. Best regards, Will

BEAUTIFUL, WILL. FEATHERY & SO MUCH DETAIL.

Artist Reply: Sharon: thank you so very much for such a nice comment. This is another of my rain pieces and it does allow me to still achieve detail but through a more impressionistic look. I'm glad that you too seem to appreciate this look. I apologize for taking so long to reply to your comment. Have a great day. Best regards, Will
