...and it is even weirder than that. If you ask a vet when where you in the 'Nam? a lot will answer 'I was there last night!' ....yeah, I was there last night. We were bat shit crazy after two tours I cannot believe the effects of 5,6 7 tours of duty. Welcome them home guys but don't ever say that you 'understand', if you were not there you cannot understand. You can empathize, comfort, thank and give them support when they need it.
