This is a colored pencil piece that I did based on a photograph that I took out the front window of a motor bus. We were on a tour of the Northwest coast and I could not resist this scene. I am an avid bicyclist and I knew that this would make a painting that many others might also relate to in a personal way. The piece is titled "A Journey Isn't Always Clear". It is done on Dura-lar matte surfaced polyester film using Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and graphite. The size of the piece is 12 X 18 inches. Enjoy the journey no matter the conditions.

What a wonderful piece. I just know that if I step off this bus, I'll get soaked..... great rain technique!! Well Done... :-)

Artist Reply: Mary: Thank you so much for taking the time to look. I appreciate your comment a great deal. I'm so glad that how I rendered the rain gave you the feel of a real "soaker". It's most gratifying to have another artist feel the intention of my work. Have a very nice holiday weekend. Best regards, Will

The rain on the window and how it distorts the figures is amazing!
