Original acrylic painting by New Orleans artist Kristof Corvinus. This piece represents Death as an incarnate being I chose the feminine form as it translates the more compassionate release and travel to the other side Death need not be seen as something ugly or horrifying. It isn't here to punish. The cardinal is the soul. This piece is in memory of my mother who's name is on the tomb The tomb is painted from one in the St Louis cemetery in New Orleans. Provenance / History of This Item: This piece has been seen first at the Pancakes and booze art show this past September at the Howlin Wolf in New Orleans , then on exhibition at Cafe Luna on Magazine st , New Orleans. She will be displayed at the Undead con in New Orleans which is associated with the Anne Rice vampire Ball Halloween weekend. She will be part of a solo exhibition in December ,also in New Orleans. - Artist retains all rights to the image . Arrangements of sharing and reselling is between artist and buyer only. Signed and dated by the artist Shipping in the domestic US and Canada only. If you are not in the US or Canada and travel to New Orleans she can be picked up. Too big to ship internationally for a reasonable price.
