St. Andrew's Cross in Wood, c.2015

"St. Andrew's Cross in Wood," c.2015, is a well-carved piece of art, which symbolizes a big part of my faith venture! It is the symbol of our church which is very ecumenical in nature. This is not a symbol to stop drinking, this symbol of the Christian Church(Disciples of Christ) recognizes the fact that we take communion every Sunday and to show the style of the cross one of Jesus's disciples was crucified on...the X shaped cross, where hands and feet were nailed accordlying to stretch the arms and legs apart. A torturous death indeed for one who preached to different people and races during his ministry. He was the brother of St. Peter, and he was Patron Saint of Scotland... and spoke of the love and compassion of Christ to everyone who would listen!
