The wonderful thing about receiving comments is that it gives all of us a chance to get to see the work of others. It´s true that this piece´s texture makes one thing of wood. I can only give you a rating based on gut reaction because I have no idea how complex the technique you use is. The contrasts are refined in piece and the tone gradations are quite effective. The play of rigidity with the overlap of curves is also visually appealing. I especially like the scooping sweep at the bottom left that really gives a three-dimensional feel to your piece.
