A little secret, just between us: When I posted this I immediately felt that the Detail was much better -- a stronger painting for being more intense by leaving no extra space, compared with the top one. I see hands stretched out. I'm wondering if they are from the poor victims that suffered under the crusades, calling for mercy. Or are they the oppressing hands of the crusaders? In fact it's a very topical painting, crusades are still going on nowadays. There will always be people that want to force others to think like them. I love how you executed the theme, Bruce. It shows emotion and empathy.
