This winter I had a very bad flu, with high fever, muscle aches, coughing and other charming attributes... While recovering from the sickness I started working on this watercolor with all the memories of fever nightmares still intact and very vivid. Furthermore there was a fire at our neighbors apartment, with a lots of smoke everywhere (including our apartment), noise, a full fire brigade and an article in a local newspaper... According to the article fire was an accident with electricity, nothing you could predict or prevent. So this watercolor became affected not only by fever but also by some unconscious fear for our home, comprehension of how vulnerable and small we really are and desire to protect the things we cherish.
