T.D is right of course but my first thought was that they were floating over an ocean, the title says without hope, Locked in cages, and suspended over an ocean would definitely leave me feeling hopeless. Great job!
Danny there almost always needs to be some sort of floor...whether it's clouds, water, or even stars...there almost always needs to be some sort of backdrop...the concept is cool however...
