Ok, I'll admit it. Jack-o-lanterns freak me out. Pumpkins are fine. Pumpkin pie even better but carve a face into one of those babies and I'm shiverin'. All that empty-eyed grinning--what do they have to be so happy about--someone's just scooped out their innards and cut out their eyes with a kitchen knife. Where do we come up with such goulish customs anyway? Original 4 x 4 mini painting to be auctioned on ebay.
