"Fired Up Drums" *I have been a drummer since I gave up the classical violin at age 12. I started ditching junior high school when a friend of mine took me to this tall, long blond haired, acid musicians house to see his studio. The musicians name was Billy, and his studio was most impressive! All of the guitars and basses and the drum set were built from Billy and his father going out really early in the mornings on trash days in neighborhoods and finding instrument bits and pieces...but the drumset is what impressed me the most! It was the biggest drumset I had ever seen! And when Billy saw how impressed I was by my awe and amazement in my eyes, he said, "Go ahead, sit on the kit and let's see what you can do." I picked up the sticks and went absolutely nuts! But Billy was so impressed with what I did after learning that I had never played drums, he said that I could come to his studio anytime I wanted to play those drums. And over the next 30 years I played in more than 25 bands, 4 of them very lengthy in years I was with, but no, never got famous, but made quite a lot of money! I had alot of fun doing the drumming with different bands and learned a great deal with each and every experience. I retired from the world of music in 2000 to persue my continuing digital computer generated art career and have been doing that since.
