Sunset From My Studio

This caught my eye one August evening as I was pondering what to do next, when I saw something out of the corner of my eye and a turned my head to see this scene with its myriad of textures, layers, and light. HDR photograph I thought and quickly grabbed my new point an shoot and started snapping away like crazy. I put it all through my magic HDR machine and voila (that's French) I came up with this. Hope you like it.

Artist Reply: Thank you I am lucky to live in an urban area that has such an abundance of beauty for the purposes of artistic exploration.

It has magic qualities! I love the shape of the tree and the way the light has encircled it!

Artist Reply: I am beginning to notice that I am taking most of my photographs lately from within 50 ft. of my front door. I told people for years, "Why would anyone expect me to travel the world to look for subjects to paint when I can't seem to get through all of the beauty I find in my front yard. There always seems to be something that captures my eye in my little corner of the world.
