Soriano nel Cimino, Italy

Soriano is the largest town at the foot of Monte Cimino. Looking at Soriano, you can see its history expanding outward from the castle. At the center, the castle’s main tower dates back to Roman-Etruscan times. In the 13th century, Pope Nicolas III (Orsini) built the castle around the tower, where it became a summer papal getaway. A small medieval village then sprung up surrounding the castle. Today, the base areas of the castle is a University, while the main towers are open to public tours and offered for parties and wedding receptions. Commission-Sold, http://www.dominicistudios.com/
