The Night Messenger

This image came to me for some reason and in the middle of it, a story came to mind; Flying away from her hand.. A sorceress asked her most prized possession, her pet dragon to carry a message to her lover.. a knight. As a knight, he serves the King. With the King's orders, he went on a journey to carry out his military, chivalric and ceremonial orders. And having to be away from each other for a long time.. The sorceress decided to create a message and ask her absolute adored and admirable dragon to help send it to him. In the dragon's hand is the message made by her. When opened to her love, he'll hear her voice, feel her love, see her face, smell her perfume and all of it as bright as day. The colours of the dragon represents its beauty and qualities in a rare species. This is part of a royal blood. hence, the silver and gold. The more.. humble dragons in the common blood will have normal, dull colours like brown and dark green. Having colours like this.. It's a risk to send her dragon out for its colours attract predators and humans to capture such a rare creature. But she trust her pet and trained it well before sending it off. As having royal blood, it's also stronger and more intelligent. Sending it at night, it will move swiftly and stealthily.. Humans wouldn't realize the beautiful creature and predators will be too slow. Hope you like it!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much, Tim! haha, you words are truly encouraging. To be honest, I have been thinking of a graphic novel but it's far from solid. Not really good with stories. Just a short one like this :)
