General Banks burns Alexandria (2002) (Sold)

General Nathaniel Banks of the Union Forces burned the city of Alexandria, Louisiana as he retreated in 1863. He barely managed to save the gunboat fleet of Admiral Porter by creating a temporary dam (Baily's Dam) on the Red River. (Collection of Steve and Peggy Henthorne)
