Governor Kathleen Blanco (2004) (Gifted)

Governor Kathleen Blanco stands in front of the notrious Louisiana State Building, the product of Huey P. Long's megalomania. A Cajun cottage recalls her roots. She is the first woman governor of Louisiana.

Oh! This is brilliant! Love those 3 dimensional flowers and the wayu the necklace stands out from her throat. I wonder about the 'Blanca' waterlily above her head. Perhaps a symbol of her pure intentions as she takes her place as governor. What a coup!! A very expressive portrait!
