Kobi Mandell and Yosi Ishran (2001) (Gifted)

Kobi Mandell and Yosi Ishran left their school in Israel to wander in the hills. They were stoned to death in a cave and their blood was smeared on the walls of the cave by their assasins. In war, it is only the innocent who suffer. (One of the "Massacre of the Innocents" series. I gave this painting to an artist friend, Rusty Gladdish and it is now located in Wales.

What a terrible tragic story! The bloody handprints on the wall behind their laughing innocent faces says it all. Very moving and powerful image!

Sad but true; excellent composition and a very nice tribute!
