I'll Be There.....

At this moment, Sunrise Visitor's Center is under tons of snow, not accessible until mid-June at least. Opening day is always a huge event for me as it is the official beginning to hikes in the higher altitudes. It seems like such a short window of time as the early snows will begin again in November. But the 5 months that we can hike there are truly glorious and refresh the mind and soul of those can be there. My total knee replacement is in a little more than a week and my goal is to be in fine hiking shape by opening day at Sunrise. I can't wait!!!! It's gonna be a long winter.... :-)

Beautiful shot Mary, and I'm sure with your positive attitude and some good physio, you will be there on opening day!!

Very lovely mountain, dear Mary. I hope by now your knee replacement surgery went well, and you are fully healed!
