This is a nice feline portrait and and even nicer gesture of friendship for Bruce. Of course, I thought Bruce was the cat, but the commentary cleared that up. The background is treated as nicely as the subjects.

I can hardly believe this! I’m speechless, writeless. Words fail from happiness and surprise! What can I say? What can I do? Only a cat lover – no, only a feline fanatic! – could create so much essence of cat, I think: the hair, the color blends, so many subtleties of line and position, the degrees of sleep and trance. I know that Anneke used the views of two different photos to create the sleepy spirits and personalities of two cats she has never met in person! And then to display it with such kind words and with some of my favorite music! Ahh, but nobody needs my raving to appreciate this lovely painting for its own wordless, yet so expressive, peace and beauty! Thank you, Anneke! Thank you far beyond my humbled gratitude and my inadequate words. Peace, etc., Bruce
