Bobcats have been seen in areas that have been developed for residential use but my first chance to see one with camera in hand was at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. It is in far north Texas near Sherman, almost to the Oklahoma border and runs along the south end of Lake Texoma. This cat crossed the road in front of the car so I got out and looked in the brushy area where it took cover. It was mostly hidden but the sun shining on the face showed it looking right back at me.
