Although frequent visits to the lake yield sights of the mute swans, seldom are they flying. Today, there were two extra swans and a territorial dispute erupted in the form of circling the lake, attempting to land and being chased away by the "alpha" swan. Understandable at this time of year since it seems the cygnets usually hatch in March. Josey Ranch Lake, Carrollton, Texas
