Queen Elizabeth and a Lion

Queen Elizabeth the First - with a lion! I am a fan of Tudor and Renaissance portraits, and am a history buff, so I just had to do a Tudor style portrait of Queen Elizabeth with a Lion (a symbol of royalty, power, and the monarchy. I spent a lot of time on her jewelry, clothing and tiny details - you can see the Tudor Rose motif a few times here. This is my own original acrylic painting. ©Jasmine Becket-Griffith - prints are available at http://www.strangeling.com and http://zazzle.com/strangeling*
