Bats in the Belfry

"Bats the Belfry"! A lot of detail in this one - similar in vein to my "Notre Dame" series (though not Notre Dame specifically). I adore gothic architecture, and the play on words made me giggle (for those of you not aware, "Bats in the Belfry" is a euphemism for "crazy in the head"!). This gothic beauty sits atop the belltower of an ornate cathedral - a storm approaches as does twilight - and the bats swarm out! She has bat wings herself, and a darned fancy outfit for sitting atop crumbly rooftops. My own original acrylic painting. ©Jasmine Becket-Griffith - prints are available at http://www.strangeling.com and http://zazzle.com/strangeling*
