Sara Simmons and the Kent House (2009)

Sara Simmons is an elderly woman, who lives in Alexandria, Louisiana, and is a wonderful patron of the arts and philanthropist. She supports the Kent House Plantation, the only remaining pre-Civil War structure in Alexandria, as well as numerous other civic projects. She is in her 90's, but hardly looks or acts that way. Recently, she helped host visiting musicians and judges of the Louisiana International Piano Competition. She also goes and greets departing and arriving troops at the nearby Fort Polk in Leesville, Louisiana. A great lady.
