Up Close Crucifixion

This is a 12 x 24 stained wood panel, painted with oil paint. The nails on the cross are silver foil. I poured a heavy coat of polymer over the entire board, then built a black wood frame around it. When the light hits the painting, the wood grain and nails absolutely sparkle.

I like the unique composition. Also, unlike most paintings, the nails are correctly shown in the wrists. Good job.
