St Martin s/l'Ardèche

25x35cm Acrylic on paper. St.Martin lies at the end of the famous Ardéche Canyon in France-a dramatic 32 km Canyon with cliffs rising 2-300 m high. Yet a pleasant and technically undemanding canoe trip. St.Martin is opposite the banks where all the canoes are collected for the ride home.

I like the feel of the gathering dusk, and the lights coming on in the town. The people give it just that little bit of focus which makes it complete. Lovely work.
