media: ball point pen/ color pencil/ marker__________Cry, cry for me now, though I've learned not to tear. My heart has hardened into the task at hand...Breathe, breathe in the life, the life that must take me to foreign lands. The potion she mixes renders us saved, but we must first fight the war... Cry, cry for me now, and the love for youth that draws the sword.__________The first thing I drew when creating this piece were the many crescents. I then designed the scene into the drawing. A soldier is standing in the upper right with one arm off the page. This signifies he is leaving for battle, which the children in the town do not understand. They're represented by the peach areas beneath him, frowning with eyes closed. Also frowning, with head tilted toward the soldier, is the helpful sorceress. Against the backdrop of her purple dress exists an urn full of potion crescents. Lifting them with her right hand, this medicine woman is activating the potion in the sunlight. By breathing it in the soldier has the blessing of victory...
