Grinding Water = Repeated itself

During the last year, I visited 3 friends who lost their father... To share their grief.

Another friend told me of her dream about her father who died years back, I was part of her dream.

Like the Black widower, who is "grinding water" .. Water the sign of life... as if she want him back & alive... the love of her heart... Perhaps washing his grave with her tears.

Mourning process can be SO PAINFUL. I didn't realize it can last SO LONG...

This is just a Lego sculpture. ..there's no human heart inside .. no real pain. This heart is built of Lego Cubes... that live another kind of life... And there's the heart of the artist made it, perhaps with his/her emotions.
May we never know sorrow in our lives.

Interesting commentary. The image is unusual, if only for the choice of material (legos). Somehow Legos usually seem so playful, but here they assume a more emotional complicated role.

This is a wonderful way to show tribute to ones loss ...the sculpture is unique, and I really like the symbolism used for the water..thanks for sharing it Nira :)

Artist Reply: Rob hello. Human body contain 55% - 60% water. 95% of the blood is water.. it seems to me only natural symbolism for LIFE. ..Like a child is born into the world, after water is broke... the water broke will be the sign that the delivery started. Water also symbolize birth or rebirth.... More about water symbolism, you can read here : http://www.pureinsideout.com/water-myths-mysteries-and-symbolism.html You can look at "death" as ending.. but with ending there's a NEW START. Thanks so much!

as always you are most appropriate with your images. Thom is so right there will always be sorry for there will always be loss. its the yin and yang of life. i can't envision a time when i will not miss my mom and dad. i still miss my dog....thanks.

Artist Reply: I'm sorry to hear about your losses of life. Missing loved one can be very difficult, Calvin. People dealing differently with their pain. Thom is usually right, by the way. Thanks so much..!!

LUV.....We will always "Feel" sorrow....we're HUMAN. I wish we didn't have to.....But, that's the way it is and will always be....."To never know sorrow you can never know love !" I still MISS my Dad who died in 1998......I still turn to him when times are tough.......Guess I'll always be his son ! Well thought out image for such a "sensitive" issue !

Artist Reply: Hi there Thom my friend.. You are right, I guess. Human has feelings, each of us has. "Never know sorrow" is kind of expression here for people, who is in grief. I remember we once, years back talked about your father. I'm sorry . I'm sure he watches you.. his spirit is with you. Thank you for being part of my life, to support my art and be my comfort, whenever I need you with your wisdom , with your life experience , which is different then mine.. with your giudnce, with "SO TRUE" words... with your sensitivity... There are reasons why things happen in our life... You are one light, to me...Love, Nira.
