National Maritime Museum

Christopher Wren designed the Wren Building at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA after his Maritime Museum building in London. My daughter did her undergraduate work at the College of William & Mary. It was so great to see the Wren Building there and then this in London. And if my memory is correct, I am standing where the Greenwich Meridian is to take this photo. Hope that you enjoy!

This is really a massive memorial and what better look then to have a storm brewing overhead. This is cassic sight to a sailor and it just makes the building appear more at home.

Fantastic , Sharon It looks like the museum has a lot of water above it also.

Wow what memories! My Great great Grandfather was in charge of this Building in the late1790's-it was then a Hospital for sailors wounded in the Napoleonic Wars-Just about the time the new USA was finding it's feet! Check ou WILLIAM LOCKER-I look like him-and he loved Art!It carries on down the genes! Greenwich is my favourite part of London-i love the place to bits! Miles XXX
