Vintage Style Marie Antoinette. Original Painting. Marie Antoinette is such an interesting historical figure. I wanted to make my painting of her have a vintage feel, so I made this painting of her by using several layering and antiquing techniques. The image of Marie Antoinette is an image transfer with hand painting and a distressing technique. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in person. It reminds me of an old painting found in an old plantation or French Chateau. And the little blue birdie adds such a lovely touch. Thanks for looking! :) This painting sold in July 2009.
