I recently finished this 11 x 14 oil painting of one of the Venice Canals (CA) where I live. In bloom are red roses and flowering Mexican sage continues onto the oil painted frame. A mother and baby mallard ducks are found on the sidewalk.

This is a very pretty scene! Use to live very close to the canals, thought this paintings bridge looked like the Venice Bridge. Back when I lived there they didn't look this good, but heard they were cleaned up. Girlfriend lived right next to first bridge from Washington. I lived on Glencoe, off Washington.

Artist Reply: Thank you. This is the Dell Ave. bridge over Howland Canal. I live on Linnie Canal. Yes, the canals were renovated in 1993. Jerry

very nice, Jerry. " Bleeding" onto the frame adds another nice dimension. Ruel
