This Texas Spiny Soft Shell Turtle is obviously thriving since it looked to be about 18" in length. (females are the largest) It lives in a pond located in The Arbors shopping center on Preston Road in Dallas, Texas. It was up at the top of the water along with several red-eared sliders actually looking to be fed. I have never seen turtles behave in such a way.

WOW, Brenda!!!!!!!! I Saw this in the Thumbnails just when I was going to exit Your Awesome Work! Absolutely, Awesome Shots! We have Spiny Soft Shells as Well. Very Rare & Making a Comeback! Turtles & All Creatures are Very Smart! To bad Mankind has to Trash it All in the Name of Greed & Extremely Stupid Religions!!!!!!!!!!

We have softshell turtles in Indiana. They are not as pretty!
