THE ORBICLE OF DELPHI

Original oil on canvas: 30" by 24" Look closely: in the image detail, you see the caged bird, Binky - a highly trained circus chicken - wearing a jester's cap, and next to Binky, tattooed on the shoulder of the Domiceti are the aurabesh (Star Wars font) symbols that translate as my initials - PAP - which you will also find in the moniker in the upper right corner of the image: a symbol I always use to sign my artwork. The rest of this painting is a complete mystery to me - except for the male nipple, vividly portrayed just below the caged bird, a chick whose name is Binky. copyright 2007 Patrick Pierson

Lovely work Patrick. Funny how Caravaggio's "The Young Bachhus" c.1591 came magically to mind. So it happens with all great art. Everything is linked in this long chain of great artists and we, their apprentices. Best wishes, Alfredo Mujica
