Artist Reply: Thank you very much, Maya. I think infrared film creates some ethereal effects. . .and some could be a little haunting. Appreciate your comment.

Great shot! Looks like infrared... I like it!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you very much, Christina. Yes, it is in fact black & white infrared film. I love the effects achievable in summertime photos. I miss using it a lot and may have to dust off one of my old SLRs. Thanks for stopping to take a look.

Wow, what a dynamic image. If ever one could say a photograph has a soul this shot would be proof of that! I hope I am not being too cryptic in my comment.

Artist Reply: Thank you very much Stanton. I know exactly what you mean. The infrared film takes us into another realm. . .and it can be rather spiritual. I'm glad you stopped by to take a look. I appreciate your feedback very much.

Wonderful picture! WOW! The B&W makes it less cozy than a colored picture -- more like a great memory according to me, but I love it! --Love and Light, OLGA

Artist Reply: Yes, the white foliage often gives the impression of snow, so infrared isn't very warm. Perhaps I will see what it looks like with sepia tones. It could be interesting to compare. Thank you for visiting and sharing your thoughts, Olga. I appreciate your feedback.

You are really a master in B&W pictures, Mike!!

Artist Reply: You're too kind. I do aspire to be, for sure. I'm glad to have had a lot of darkroom experience in the "old days." Although I didn't make any adjustments to this image, I like the new and unlimited capabilities I have with the computer today. It's exciting to be able to take some old shots out of the trash can and make them into images worthy of displaying on AW. Thank you for your encouragement. I appreciate your comment.
