After many failed attempts to capture images of the cute little (6") woodpeckers, this male Downy landed on a tree limb only 10 or 12 feet in front of me and searched for larvae, sticking its head in a hole on the bottom side of the willow at times. North Lakes Park, Denton, Texas.
