Beautiful closeup. Nice to catch the dove asleep in its fur coat. Excellent focus and depth of field. Nicely done.

I have a pair around my house each year..they're so neat..I love to hear their call...this one looks very cold.

Artist Reply: We have 4-5 pairs of Mourning Doves that hang around all year and one pair of Ring Necked Doves that stay from spring to late fall. I love the call of the Mourning Doves also :) It really wasn't all that cold out when I took that shot - maybe 48-50 degrees. I was worried that it was going to end up as hawk food sitting there like that for so long.
