A pastel painting of Shoubi, my Pit Bull Terrier cross-breed bitch. This was my second attempt and, although it is still a long way from perfect, I feel it is an improvement on "Shoubi - One". I managed to get her coloring a bit better and Shoubi looks less "foxy" here - so I am quite happy with it! Soft pastels on Saunders Waterford rough watercolor paper 18 1/2" x 12 1/2" (47cm x 32cm)

Artist Reply: He he! Thanks for the encouragement! I think it was at least an improvement on Shoubi - One... Shoubi is in the peak of health now. Got rid of all her fleas and her coat is beautiful, soft and shiny again. Too bad I will have to leave her in the tender care of the person who looks after her while I am away for a couple of months again. Still... She's a strong dog and I'm sure she'll survive! :)
