Faux wall

Faux painting is a wall treatment that has come into fashion in recent years. This multi-faceted surface design is an art form. There are various faux finish techniques ranging from venetian plaster, glazing, wood graining, asian designs and modern finishes. This wall that I photographed in a local restaurant is a beautiful example of glazing. It enhances the architecture and introduces sophisticated decorative elements to both home and commercial decor. The lucite container of coffee and tea condiments offers an interesting contrast of familiar elements with the abstract artistry of the faux wall.

beautiful glazing.

Artist Reply: Thanks for your comment and observation about faux glazing, a very interesting technique that has replaced traditional wall treatments like paint and wall paper to add dimension and character to the decor of home or office.

INTERESTING EXPLANATION AND GREAT ILLUSTRATION!

Artist Reply: Emily, I always appreciate your comments, especially on my atypical photographs that I enjoy posting when I see something interesting, unusual and informative. These type of photos may not have popular appeal, but I love the more unconventional images that offer something different when I am fortunate enough to have my camera with me. You are always a wonderful support for the diversity of my work. Many thanks!!!!!
