Hairy

About the photo:  If this little critter makes you cringe and gives you goose bumps the way it did me, then I've done my job.  Not only am I finding out that macro photography fascinates me, but also that I've been able to face my deepest and most frightening fears.

SPIDERS in general have been my biggest fear for the last 34 years.  To get as close as I did with my camera lense to this hairy predator I found that unbelievable and mind-blowing.  I got caught up the actual beauty and fascination of the creature, that I did not have the time to pay attention to my fears.

Dimension:  Taken in macro with a Nikon D80 (70-300 lense). Highest pix. resolution.

Choice of my colour palette: Simple black border to this stunning critter.   I did re-colour the photo to take away the pinkish or salmon effect from the brick.

Result: "Hairy" guards our entrance and captures every pesky insect trying to get into our home.  Not that they are not beautiful in their own way, however that is the circle of life and Hairy need to eat.
